Mind the GAAP takes your privacy seriously.

This policy covers how Mind the GAAP treats personal information that we receive. Personal information is data about you that is specific, like your name, address, email address, or phone number. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Mind the GAAP does not own or control, or to people that Mind the GAAP does not employ or manage.

Information Collection and Use

Mind the GAAP only collects personal information when you explicitly register with us. At no time, even after registering with us, do we place "cookies" on your computer.

We intend to use this personal information to send you any articles or newsletters that we publish. We may also use this personal information to send you certain communications relating to services we offer that we believe may be of interest to your organization.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Mind the GAAP does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except:

  • To respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;
  • When we believe it is necessary to share such information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or as otherwise required by law; or
  • If Mind the GAAP is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, Mind the GAAP will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Confidentiality and Security

We limit access to personal information about you to members and employees of Mind the GAAP who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

On certain web pages, Mind the GAAP uses industry-standard SSL encryption to protect data transmissions. Note, though, that the form used to opt into receiving our articles and newsletters is not subject to any form of data encryption.
